Japan Surrenders and Face War Crime Trials
September 2, 1945 Japan surrenders World War II. When they surrender they sign a treaty agreeing to limit their military use. the surrender also changes the nations attitude towards war. Because of the treaty and the nations new attitude Japans military is completely dismembered. Now they are left with a Defense teams known as "Japan Self-Defense Forces."

After World War II Japan Faces War Crime Trials. There were the Tokyo Trials, 5,000 are tried. Out of the 5,000 900 are executed and over half is sentenced to life in jail. The Japanese had also faced the Nanking Trials for the horrible acts committed in Nanking, China. around 5,700 people were tried, there were a total of 650 cases. convicting 504 and 149 sentenced to death.
